Good thing I had over 70 eggs hatch over the weekend. It made a LOT more space available in my incubator :)

My eggs from minihorse arrived today. Excellent condition and VERY COOL way of wrapping eggs! It was so fun and exciting to unwrap them! My little sister helped and loved it too :)

Thank you thank you! I'll let you know how they do

I got the idea from another BYC'er. She sent me eggs packed that way and not even a damaged air cell! I thought I would see how it worked when shipped a longer distance. I'm glad they made it OK. One more box I shipped is still waiting to make it to the PO and I've been stressed while waiting on everyone to say they arrived safely. I'll be glad when theirs get there tomorrow and they are safe. I saw somewhere you were looking for some of those and thought since the incubators were full, why not?

When I candle the eggs I'll let you know about the air cells!
Are there any tips for incubating call eggs? I have hatched tons of other ducks, but never call eggs. I have one call hen that I got this year and she is currently sitting on 9 eggs. I would sneak them under her but hers are already close to 2 weeks along. So I think these will get put in the incubator today (I let them sit overnight to help them settle first)

You Must Share! What is this fantastic new way to ship?

I should've taken a picture, haha

She bubble wrapped each call duck egg. Then placed inside of a large plastic easter egg! They were wrapped perfect so the egg was snug and wouldn't move inside the plastic egg.
Then the usual wrapping, bubble wrap/ shredded paper/etc to keep those eggs snug and safe in the box.

I thought it was PERFECT as I've found that the only broken/cracked eggs are a result from movement when in the box. So if the egg is snug and safe, then it travels much much better!

Now I just have to find some super/jumbo sized plastic easter eggs so I can do that with my duck eggs.......

Plus, it was FUN FUN FUN to open ;)
