Nasty little buggers.I am a neighbor-state-over in Alabama and we've had weasel take the heads before like this
Raccoons can't reach thru, let alone drag anything thru, 1/2" x 1/2"....go measure again. They can’t! It had to have been something with skinny long arms that viciously yanked it through. Poor little guy.
I just don't see how a head could fit through there. The skull would have to be crushed into tiny pieces and the skin would have had to be torn into a long noodle. Seriously not trying to be insulting, but are you sure his head isn't somewhere in that feather pile? Or like aart said and the openings are actually bigger than 1/2"?They can’t! It had to have been something with skinny long arms that viciously yanked it through. Poor little guy.
True, but with the OP's situation the size of the mesh is in question. If the coon wants it if they can fit their arm in the hole they will literally rip apart whatever they have in their hand just to get a little piece of it
Yup, one inch! I thought we used the leftover stuff from our main coop but my husband said he bought new.True, but with the OP's situation the size of the mesh is in question.
Oh good, that you measured(thank you), not that it caused the death of your bird.Yup, one inch! I thought we used the leftover stuff from our main coop but my husband said he bought new.
