Just my two cents:
I find it amusing that many people refer to fast food places as "restaurants."
It's also pointless to complain about the "service." These people don't get tips... their goal is to get paid, not serve you.
I hope I did not offend anyone who has worked in fast food, it just doesn't seem to be a very customer-oriented business. It's a business made to dumb-down unhealthy food into a production line and charge people way more that it's worth. They make money - you get a bag of salt & fat that you neither had to cook nor even get out of your car to eat.
The nearest fast food place to me is McD and it's a 15 minute drive to get there. The food sucks. Everything seems to taste fried - like they had the salads sitting next to the fries or something. And the bun (no matter what kind of sandwich) seems to always be dripping with grease. Eeewwwww!
IMO... a meal should be enjoyed. If we're going to stop somewhere to eat... we're at least going to go in, not drive through. I prefer to cook my own food, but I understand that's not always possible - especially on the Interstate 500 miles from home.
I'd rather eat a warm 8-hour-old PB&J that "fresh" fast food.
