McDonalds McRib - Love It, Like It, Loathe It?

I can tolerate the hamburgers, but I tried a McRib when they first brought them out, and thought it was disgusting. Those fake bone things made me feel like I was eating cartilage, and I just couldn't eat it. Was really surprised when they rolled 'em out again a few years later. I thought all the McRibs had just crawled off and died somewhere.

Sure smells(and probably tastes) like it did!

My mouth is watering right now, even though it's nasty. Who knows what the "meat" by itself tastes like. It's in the sauce...

I prefer mine sans veggies.

It's funny this post should show up. My inlaws were over last night and we were discussing this very thing. I asked if it was actual pork or some sort of processed, made up thing, and they told me it is the latter. I can't see myself ever eating it. I go to McDonald's very rarely, and when I do it is for one thing; quarter pounder with cheese (add mayo) and fries. It is delicious, but very unhealthy, thus the rare indulgence. Everyone has some guilty pleasure, and the QP is one of mine. Otherwise I'm mostly eating only what I raised, and an occasional lunch or dinner out elsewhere. No interest in the McRib.

I don't have the hostility to McDonalds that some have though I must say I'd rather eat just about anywhere else if I have the choice. The McRib? Man, those things are disgusting.

ISH!!

I can eat their southwest grilled chicken salad, and that's about it. I do love a Big Mac but can't face the calorie count so don't eat them.

I have NO idea what's in it, I don't WANT to know what's in it. I love me sum McRib!

no veggies, just meat, sauce, bread.
As for the rest of McDonalds' food- no thanks. Once a year I gotta have a McRib. I think it's the crack they mix into it.

I will tell you what I think, its amazing what they can do with the right mix of spices using butt***** and ying-yangs for the meat!! I don't eat them, but DH loves them, and he rarely gets one when they are "in season" because they are just plain bad for you.

Now THAT is my reaction to Whataburger... has been since I was a kid when I got REALLY ill from their breakfast burrito jobbers. But years later I tried again, it was the nearest thing to our apartment and my car was broken... ordered tenders and fries and I was fine... so figured the breakfast thing was a fluke and next time I tried the burger... nope, sick again. I guess whatever it is that is 'wrong' in their food is killed in the 400 degree vat of oil... if it ain't fried I'm not even going to risk it.

DH, and his family, all think I'm being a paranoid nut... but they aren't the ones that had to make a mad dash while trying to push an umbrella stroller through a complex full of speed bumps and neighbors wanting to stop and chat!!

On what McRib is made of... do they ever say whether it's even beef or pork??
