I have a batch of chicks that I received from Mc Murray. All match the packing list except this one. It was supposed to be a whiting true green, but I have never seen one that is white. I checked the box that substitutions were allowed. Is she a whiting true green or is she something else? Thoughts anyone?

First off, I believe you got an accidental cockerel. The comb is huge for its size. For breed, probably some type of Easter egger. Maybe Whiting True Blue. It doesn't look like any Whiting True Green I've seen before, but it could be. All types of Easter eggers are mixes.
I was leaning towards Whiting true blue as well. I would be perfectly happy if it turns out to be a roo. I was hoping the mystery chick would be a roo so I could add one to the flock. My mystery chick is a buff polish and I am 90% sure she is a pullet based on her rounded crest feathers so if one of the pullets I ordered is a roo I am happy with that.

I ended up w a white whiting true blue, with that comb I bet that’s what yours is! I thought she was a cockerel for the longest time, until she laid her egg. Long, tail feathers and pointy neck feathers, but nope, a girl.

Either way you can’t go wrong! Blue egg gene will pass to chicks and you’ll get lots of colored egg layers if you hatch!
