I ordered 30 birds st. run (Australorps and Easter Eggers) and they arrived in April. They sent me 32 birds, one runt died after a few days. All the rest were very healthy. Out of 31, I had 17 hens and 14 roos.

I ordered ducklings and they arrived 2 weeks ago - all of them were dead on arrival. Not McMurray's fault, obviously, they probably got left outside too long during shipping. So I called customer service and in under 5 minutes I was off the phone. They were sending me new babies the following week. They arrived last Wednesday, all happy and healthy. I do have one runt, and he seems to be doing just fine.

I am very happy with them and will continue to order from them.

25 chicks ordered, 26 arrived alive and well. I also ordered ducklings, khaki Campbells and Cayugas, I think I ordered 12 and got 14!!

Again all thriving.

I don't know show quality, but mine were Buff Orpingtons and Silver Lace Wyanndottes. All are healthy and very pretty. My free exotic was a rooster of course, a white cochin(not very exotic), who is a huge fluff ball we adore.

I ordered 35 chicks 25 for me 10 for a friend. I recieved 37 chicks. I did not get alot of the breeds I ordered cause I said replacements were fine, which it was .but would have been nice if they had listed what they replaced them with. example ordered a Delaware roo paper says they gave me two. Turns out they are white rocks.
My cookoo maran hen is a roo and looks more like a barred rock and my 2 sultan hens have an extra toe on each foot.

but all said and done all my chicks are healthy 12 week olds and haven't lost any

I ordered a combination of several chicks from them. I think the silkies I recieved from them are really nice, except my black ones died within the first 24hrs of arriving and one of the blues ended up being a beautiful splash except it has pink beak, feet and skin(but they also don't guarantee them to be perfect)...The only other problem I've had are the 3 Faverolles I got had a defect of some type, my male has a crossed beak with an underbite, one female is darker than it should be and has taken forever to get her tail in, and the most perfect one is starting to show a little space between her top and bottom beak hopefully it won't progress any further. All in all I was happy with my order, the chicks are all now 3 months old and are so sweet.

I ordered the rare breed layers..

I split the order with a friend..

We ordered 25 we got 25 but one had died.

so we split 12 and 12

Out of my batch. Only 2 died but not because of anything MM did .. (one hawk got it, the other death by child) we did have one that I had to feed some sugar water for about 2 days but she is doing great.

That is another thing 100% accurate to the sexing. At least so far. They are now 13 weeks old and nothing rooish.

My friend she is down to 8 she lost 2 when they were smaller (a few days old) they refunded her money right away (they even refunded mine) and she had another that was fell over (a polish) that was pecking around the mulch pile not sure why. And I cant remember why she lost the 4th one. But she had lost almost all her chickens from the year before due to preditors.

I've ordered from them several times. Always been a really good experience, never a problem. I think their breeders breed more for laying quality not type. Their Red Sex-links can't be beat for laying early and large eggs. I'm very please with them.

I have ordered from MM and when they substituted breeds (which I said was ok) they listed breeds given and gave extras. I ordered 25 both times and got 27 and 30. All were healthy and the only one I lost was due to being squeezed by a child. I still have some from my first order six years ago. I have never had them make a sexing error.

This year, I bought 1 straight run and 19 pullets from local feed store. I am now the proud owner of THREE cockerals. The "Black Australorp pullet" is a male that is 1/4 brown.

We ordered our first flock from McMurray online. I originally ordered them in January for March delivery, but due to a family crisis, I had to postpone shipment until June. The customer service rep was very helpful in making sure all the pullet chicks we wanted were available for the new date.

We ordered 25 specific pullet breeds and requested no mystery chick. So instead, they sent us a second pullet chick of one of the breeds we ordered, a White Plymouth Rock.

Our Silver Grey Dorking pullet chick was injured in shipment. As soon as we received our shipment, I called McMurray and told them the chick was injured and I wasn't sure she was going to make it. They issued credit immediately for the chick. She died a few days later, but this would have been a free chick if she had lived.

We ordered 25 birds, got 26, lost one to shipment. Of the pullet chicks we ordered, we ended up with 2 roos - one Single Comb Brown Leghorn and one Golden Campine, which I felt fell in line with their 90% sex guarantee.

All our birds were healthy (except the one noted) and most of them are still with us today, more than 2 years later.

I love their website better than the paper catalogue because you can see what the availability dates are. We don't show our birds. And right now, we are not breeding to sell our chicks. I think McMurray has a terrific variety of birds. But if I were interested in showing or starting a breeding program, I would order from breeders, not a hatchery.

Our original flock consisted of one each, with the exception of the 2 White Plymouth Rock chicks. Silver Grey Dorking, Barred Plymouth Rock, New Hampshire Red, Rose Comb Brown Leghorn, Speckled Sussex, Silver Lakenvelder, Gold Laced Wyandotte, Partridge Plymouth Rock, Rhode Island Red, Jersey Black Giant, White Wyandotte, White Face Black Spanish, Columbian Wyandotte, Buff Orpington, Delaware, Gold Penciled Hamburg, Dominique, Buttercup, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Ancona, Silver Spangled Hamburg, Golden Campine, Single Comb Brown Leghorn.
