Chirping
Long story but going to try to condense. I bought a house that came w 3 ducks (one male Peking one female Peking - who have been together all their lives - about 4years - and a male Khaki Campbell which appeared at the house / pond about a year ago - he might be 2 years old) They were getting along okay for the most part until 2 male mallards showed up a month ago. The whole dynamic is off and it is getting aggressive. The 2 mallards are young and staying out of it. The two males started fighting a first then the female got in on the action. It is getting progressively worse. Now the male Peking has an injured eye (going to the vet tomorrow) and is not being allowed to come inside the fence. The female has feathers being plucked out of its neck by the Khaki. The female however is the most aggressive right now. She and the khaki fight all the time. She is holding him down by his neck, they constantly peck and go beck to be /chest to chest. I found a rescue that will take the 2 mallards and the khaki however they can’t find a volunteer to come get them (they are not in my area) So in the meantime, what do I do??? I live in a subdivision in the city with a strict hoa so I am limited in what I am allowed to do as far as housing / fencing etc. Is it normal for a female to be that aggressive? Is she trying to protect the male Peking that’s injured? What should I do? I know there are too many males
