She doesn't really like being held not many of them do but she's such a quiet and sweet bird, she lets me hold her every once in a while.

I know that if you caress them gently on the back, they will sometimes fall asleep in your arms.
Post pix of some of your other chickens as they are free-ranging.

Sure. They love to flock around me, just as long as I don't want to pick them up hahaha

I know ,,,, the more you handle them, the more docile they turn. Years earlier, when a few neighborhood children used to come over and pet the chickens daily, my flock was friendly, and docile. Those children grew into adults now, and well, no longer come to pet the chickens. I do pet them but not as much as when there were many others to do such.

I had both of these before. The Golden Sebright (mine) lived for about 9 years.
My Easter Egger Lived 11 years.
