Hello, I'm Erik.
I have 2 Mallard ducks, 1 male and the other female, and 1 French Toulouse goose. Mr Spencer is the drake, and Vlonka is his lover. And Xenya is my French Toulouse Goose. They are considered family members of other species to me. I am an animal lover who has a knack at connecting and bonding with my different species of family members that live with me. All I want is for them all to be happy, healthy, and to live long and prosper . I live in Alpine Utah. And I hope I am typing this introduction of myself in the right place, because this forum is confusing me! Anyways I would love some help from anyone about answering some concernable questions I have about Mr Spencer.

I got my French Toulouse several months ago and I thought I was pretty good at vent sexing, but I'm still not 100% sure if she is a goose or of she is actually a Gander. Ive never gotten a penis to come out and I'm positive I'm venting her right. Do you have any tips for knowing for sure if I am right about her being a female and not a male?

I am not experienced at vent sexing but usually the females undercarriage sits lower to the ground than a gander and their neck is shorter. I am by no means an expert. Also behaviour really helps, my gander will always put himself between me and his goose, also he hisses and sticks his tongue out if i surprise him and she does not. It is spring where i live so it is pretty easy to see the behaviour differences between them right now.
