Meal worms

We have several petsmarts within 40-50 miles of us. I checked the prices and they are the same as what you are paying at your petsmart. But I have a privet owned pet shop I can get them from for cheeper. 60 are $1.98 and 100 are $3.00, and 200 are $5.00. Guess I will keep buying from her. Am going to try raising my own as suggested, but until I do get some from that, will just buy them to get me through.

lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

I just started breeding mealies. I bought a 3 drawer plastic thingy at Target. I have been using layer crumbles as a bedding and it seems to be working very well. DD is totally grossed out by them!!

I have found a lot of people are grossed out by them. I never gave it a second thought. I guess it is cause I had been around them when I was a kid. But then I was around snakes too and those totally freaked me out for many many years. lol

I don't have a problem with worms, spiders, bugs, etc. Even snakes now days don't send me into a panic (unless it might be a poisonous one). Now leaches are another thing. Not that they spook me, but I so hate to touch them for fishing. I will use an old rag to grab and hold them with. Ugh, they give me the willies.
