Are there any? When I say loud, I'm talking Pekin Hen LOUD. I have a Pekin Hen as a pet and shes pretty loud. I have a customer who wants to buy duck but I just cannot imagine a bunch of Pekins and the noise level so I am thinking about other breeds that are good meat producers. Either that or buying sexed Pekins and only getting drakes...

Muscoveys, they can quack. I heard a hen that I was trying to catch quack. I've had them for 2 years and never heard one quack until 2 days ago. They get big and are supposed to have the least fat content of any duck. Males get big. Females are the size of a large hen; maybe 8 pounds.

Momma duck;she is a broody duck. As soon as we sell her chicks she starts all over. I was going to butcher some of her offspring but did not want her to sit on eggs when it is so cold. They do hiss.

Yep, Scovies. My Pekin, Cayagu, and Calls are really loud. I can hear those girls and guys from the barn to the house. My Scovies just hiss and very softly quack. I can only hear them if I am down at the barn.

Thought I'd add a pic. These ones aren't even full grown yet. The one is front is my drake, Yankee. The one behind is a hen, Pie. He is about 10-12 pounds right now and they can get to 20 lbs for the drake. The hens don't get as big as the drakes.
