Meaties in the Morning!

there about 9 weeks i did harvest some at 6 weeks and they were around 4lbs give or take a few oz. I don't sell to many birds mostly to friends and fam so I been harvesting just a couple birds a week I have just 2 adults left and they are looking pretty ridicules as far as size goes.I have a pile more that are about 5 weeks and over 2lb and my red rangers of the same age are only about a half lb or so but still bigger than my production red, dark Cornish, white rock, and RIR chicks, the only thing(beside the CX)that are close to the red ranger is my 2 "home made" black sex link cockerels,so I may have to hang on to one of those for a future breeding project.

My meaties are one day shy of 5 weeks. Weigh in tomorrow to check weekly growth. Here is a picture of them this morning.

I am still crossing my fingers because I haven't lost any yet. I will weigh them tonight to check weekly growth. They are on Dumor 24% but also get plenty of veggie scraps compliments of my school's cafeteria director. I am thinking they will be ready at 7 weeks or 8 weeks if I want monsters.

I just finished their 5 week weigh in. Average is 4.1 lbs. with a low of 3.4 lbs and a high of 4.8 lbs. While this is slightly behind the Welp chart estimates (4.22 lbs at 5 weeks), I am happy none the less. They are healthy and fit and still run around. I guess I can't ask for anything more.

6 week weigh-in last night. Average bird was 6.0 lbs. Biggest roo was 6.5 while smallest hen was 5.4. I am thinking that I will process next weekend.
