Yes, it is something I learned from BYC members. It is a process that lets rigormortis pass thereby loosening the muscles giving the meat a chance to relax. I process my first birds July 15th and will do a "trial" run on my own before family and friends get involved. Love them all but I have a feeling chicken plucking will be a lot less of a mess without the helpers...lol
