my hen has a meaty growth on her beak starting to cover one of her nostrils. she has had it for a few weeks now and is growing. now I just noticed one of her eyes looks a little bubbly with fluid. she doesn't have any lesions in her mouth or anything she eats good and still acts fine. does anyone know how to stop this before she gets bad.

Search for images of Dry Fowl Pox - it could be many things, so 'process of elimination'. No cure or real treatment, it's a virus that will run its course in a few weeks.

The only other suggestion I have is to offer or force feed Poultry Nutri-Drench. It is inexpensive and from TSC. The thing will probably fall off soon it really just sounds like infected tissue to me but without photos I can not give you a better answer.

Even with photos I may not know the answer.

Pictures help the most if you can post one. Is she sneezing or having crackles when breathing. Look at her beak and try to determine if she has a blocked nostril from feed and mucus. Those can become like concrete. The eye bubbles sound like she may have a respiratory disease such as MG, but if her nostril if is blocked, I would try to unblock it. This can be done by wetting the nostril with a QTip wet with peroxide. After a few minutes, take a wooden toothpick and gentlly try to open the nostril.
I would also use some Terramycin eye ointment (ask for it at feed stores) twice a day into the eye. Plain Neosporin or Triple Antibiotic Ointment will work if you cannot get the Terramycin.
