Well I lost track of time and one of my small flock started laying. Problem is they were still eating purina medicated starter grower feed. I've switched to layena plus pellets. How long should I discard eggs before I can start eating them?

Yes, laying hens can eat chick starter, which contains Amprolium... which is a thiamine blocker. At the risk of opening an other hornet's nest, I urge the readers to do their homework regarding the actual risk of coccidiosis to their flocks, and make their own decisions about giving medicated feed. Amprolium will not prevent coccidiosis. Your chickens will be exposed to it in the outdoor environment. It is a strong immune system that will prevent coccidiosis.
