Medicated Feed? Whoops!

I am the first to admit these are my first Meat Chickens.

My feed store told me to have them on Medicated Feed... and I wasn't thinking about withdrawal dates or anything (I have raised meat Cattle, Lambs and Hogs) So now I have 4 week old Cornish X on Medicated Feed..

What should I do? Is this okay or a big no-no?

Wont hurt when you start off feeding them medicated. If it makes you uncomfortable and can not take the feed back to the store for any reason, go ahead and finish that bag off and start new bag with unmedicated. Double check next time!

I personaly try to stay away from medicated feed. It should say on the bag what the withdrawal date should be before slaughter. You can just get non-medicated feed and switch them to that. If you have a lot of medicated feed left put it on Craigslist for a reasonable price and someone will buy it.
