Medications that can be used in Poultry - no prescription needed

I have API's E.M. Erythromycin (for fish) in powder packets, 200 mg per packet. I have a chicken with foam in her eye and a little swelling in her one eyelid like you would get with allergies. It has been raining here and she had been out in the rain. I wanted to give her the meds, but I wasn't sure it was safe, and I wasn't sure how much to give her. Any help would be greatly appreciated. **Given the stay home orders, it is impossible to get her to an open vet.
 
Thank you for your help!!! She is isolated from the rest of the girls, none of the others are showing any signs of something wrong. Ellie, the one with foam, is eating and drinking normally. I went out to check on her and there was no more foam. Also, we did lose Ellie's best buddy about a week and a half ago to sour crop, she basically died because she choked herself while throwing up (I tried to help but I couldn't). Ellie has been sad and standoffish since. Not sure if this foam issue could be from depression?? Also, we added a new thing to our backyard today and it might have scared her at the beginning (they free-range). I just don't know. Again, tonight, no foam.

Hi all,

New to BYC but I've been reading a ton about chickens on here. I keep aquarium fish and have erythromycin on hand and noticed that one of my hens was having respiratory problems (she's been isolated). I'm not sure if the dosage was deleted but can someone please provide that again? I have the 200mg packs that GoldieLoxxz mentioned.

Welcome to BYC, sorry your hen is sick. I don't think I posted that dose before, but I can try to find it.

It’s okay. I only ask because I have a bantam chick that has had crackly breathing and lethargic for a week now on top of pasty butt. I ordered Baytril 10 but I fear it may not get here fast enough. Online shopping does have downsides:caf:caf
