Medistatin Dose for Vent Gleet

I'd consider deworming them.

In the photos, to me, it doesn't look like Vent Gleet. It looks like runny poop that's getting caught in the feathers. Vent Gleet is a white pasty discharge that has a yeasty smell.

This was just 3 of them tonight. The last picture is the worst and she does have a spot where she has been plucking.

I agree that this doesn't look like gleet. I've had 2 hens develop gleet over the years, and it was white and gritty - like fine sand. No poop involved, and it was constantly leaking.

Also, gleet isn't contagious. If you have multiple birds afflicted, I'd think worms or maybe even cocci.

To know for sure if they have worms, you can get a fecal float performed by your vet.
Your vet may be able to do a culture to determine what the discharge is.

On the white bird it's probably easier to see, but it looks like she's got mites. Likely all of them do if she does.
Get a Permethrin based poultry spray or dust and treat all your hens, clean out the coop and treat it as well. Be sure to treat roosting bars, nooks/crannies and nesting boxes too.
Do this in 5-7 days intervals to help break the cycle of the mites.

Are mites contagious to other birds?
