Meet Angevine, I found her at the river

He does have nice under-color, as a RIR should. Also these double feathers, which I think I've only seen on my pheasant.View attachment 3193556
Regarding the double feather…all of my chickens have this (brahma, silkie, d’Uccle, Easter Eggers, marans…😁). I think it’s pretty common. Attached is a pic of one of our silkies “double feathers”.

Said ugly neighbor roo came over and was investigating her/him (from a safe bio-secure distance, of course). He crowed, danced, stood up tall and flapped his wings, and put his hackle up. River chook stood up tall, flapped, pecked at the ground (like they do when they want to fight) but tried to keep away. She did not crouch down, or act terrified, and he didn't really act like she was a hen.
