....for the water bowl..mine do that also..i had to get a heavy big dog water bowl...that helped...for toys..well..one thing they will LOVE that is cheap..take a 2 liter soda bottle...poke small holes all around it...make the holes so..some of his pellets can fall through the holes(but dont make it to easy for him)... add his food to it..screw the top back on..and give it to him..once he realizes his food is in there..he will toss that thing all around trying to get the food out....lol...its the same concept as a dogs busy ball that dispenses treats..only cheaper!...lol..tennis balls..they will push them around..does he have access to a yard to root around?...if not you should make him a rooting box...just any low, long contaioner..add large/medium rocks to it..some dirt, grass, hay(they will also eat the hay..and its okay), really you can add anything to the rooting box that isi safe for them to eat and play with and push around as long as he cant choke on it...and you may not even really need a actual box...maybe just a corner of his pen area...i know this sounds corny...LOL..but..dyson loves music...he has a toy cow that has wheels and has buttons on it that you push and it plays songs..he just loves it..he pushes it around and when he pushed the music buttons..he starts to wag his tail..and he stands there listining to it till its done playing...

Update on Horton!!

I promise to have new pics tomorrow!! He is finally truly tamed, for me anyway. He is still a bit skittish of my son, but he will let me touch him whenever I want. He has also taught himself a trick

He can stand on his back legs and beg like a dog!! Very cute, I never knew pigs could do that! He is outside now, in a bit bigger pen. It is not his permanent home yet, but it is a bigger area than what he had before. He has a huge dog house to sleep in, and he makes good use of it! I tried keeping straw in it for him to sllep on, but he rooted it all out. I need to buy some more for him. I can't believe I forgot about the toys!! I still haven't given him anything, poor guy! I'll be sure to give him a ball and a bottle tomorrow to keep him occupied. I'm sure he gets bored, out there all alone

Can you believe I'm actually thinking of getting another one? I can't believe how much I love this guy! I would never have thought I would have a pet pig, but now I can't see myself without one!

If I were to get another one, which would be better? Male or female? Horton is not neutered yet, I'm not sure that the vet would do it. Probably, but I can't afford to right now. I do not want to breed them, I just want a friend for him. If I were to get another male, would they fight? I know redhen has 2 males, but I think hers are neutered??

Horton is a little over 6 months old now, gosh, it seems like we just got him! He is a big boy, and a little overweight, but he is not humongously fat. He doesn't have rolls on his face or anything, so he is just a bit 'chubby'. But he is so sweet! I love him to death!

He's so cute! We don't do small pigs but we raise yorkshires and I can't wait till we get this year's pair. Because they are the cutest things and they are like big puppies. They follow us when we are in the pig yard and almost sound like dogs when they know that we are near.

I cant wait to see the new pics! I don't know what to tell ya about getting another male since I have the two females. Can't help ya there but before I got mine I inquired the price for a neuter from a local vet and was quoted $50.00. Not a lot but it is if you dont have it.
