Meet my Chick!

Mornin yall!
Anybody ever been spurred in the shin by a rooster!? I have and it hurts like heck!!! Don’t think it was unprovoked... I was putting my foot towards him to back him up.. which I always do and he attacked! But he attacked nonetheless! I swear it’s as though they have poison in their spurs!! Now mind you... I have a very low threshold for pain and any injury to me is magnified by 1000 so this was basically death to my leg!! Not to mention the after pain!
I am seriously considering rehoming him... but I’d kinda like to wait until the littles are integrated... he was very good last year with the new ones...
Here’s my bobo... excuse the prickles 😄

Tetanus up to date I hope?

Do I really need that!?
Yes! I mean probably fine but why take the risk?
Thanks for backing me up. 😁
I’m backing you both up. It is better to be safe than sorry, as they say.
That is a puncture wound and those are the ones that are risky.
I trust that you flushed the wound really well with antibacterial cleanser and saline. Chickens can have a lot of germs on their feet and legs and those spurs!
Keep an eye on it.
