I am very proud of myself. After the Tuesday incident I have decided to be more diligent about what day it is.

Having had two hens slide across the frozen pool yesterday, I don't think there will be any swimming today.

Water is bad for chickens. I did some research on some article and chickens may seem to swim because of the survival gene but there feathers are not water proof and once the get clogged they will sink and drown.

I love the runners. I think they are just the cutest!!

I do too! I would have to build a space for them in the chicken free range pen. I'm seriously thinking about it...I've mentioned it to hubs a couple of times...it takes a while for him to realize that I'm serious & come on board...so I just have to keep randomly saying it until I get some...

I've heard that hornets are horrible and I never want to get stung by one...ouch! That's something you don't expect when you pull on a boot...yikes!
