Meet my silkie baby

I had 3 silkie eggs given to me by a friend. This is the first one hatched, wasn't supposed to hatch till tomorrow, started pipping last evening, and showed up at supper time, boisterous and loud. We all had to stop eating and go see who was making all that racket. such alot of noise coming from such a tiny chick.

Partridge?? Really cute. I have 2 pips out of 10 right now on my Silkie eggs.. Can't wait!!

Thanks for the comments. So far no more pipping from the other eggs.
Teresaann24 your chick is cute too. Looks like it has more of a tophat than mine. They said the mommy is a blue, but didn't know which kind the roo was.

Yeah most of the chicks I hatch have the big crests. Your baby is adorable..Maybe the roo of your chick was a partidge?

I was wondering what the color combo was though...

My daughter (9 yo) ordered a mix batch of silkies from a hatchery (as new incubators

)

And I have one that looks like the first pic and one that looks like the second, a black , two whites, and another reddish with stripes that is VERY different from the partridge, but hard to describe.

I do know they are all silkies though..witht he black skin and five toes and pure FLUFF!

Two have vaulted skulls, the others just a little extra pouffy on top.

If you know the color of yours' parents, ....then I might have an answer lol!
