To my understanding, there's no way to delete your account or deactivate it. How do you know that someone stole your password?

I got an email from Chrome that my password had been stolen and this was one of the sites that had been compromised.

I think that that means that the password to your google account has been taken, and you used it on this site.

This is the OPs 1st and only post, @garverzoo how do you know your account was hacked into?

I joined in 2017 but have not been active for the past couple of years. That's why I asked to have my info removed, no need to keep an account I don't use.

Not according to Google...it was a different password.

I thought it would be easier to just delete accounts that I no longer use rather than change passwords. Apparently, I was wrong.

I think that the confusion was because you had said 'membership' and not account. You're able to pay for a membership, which is something different.

Google Chrome is bogus.
I was constantly getting stuff like that from chrome ( so they say, probably spam) for Facebook and Twitter.
I don't have a Facebook and Twitter.

I think that the confusion was because you had said 'membership' and not account. You're able to pay for a membership, which is something different.
