Men and chickens.

In my opinion women like to talk about stuff first, and men like to get it done without all the talking.

My husband doesn't discuss his hobbies like hunting and fishing with others, he just goes and does it.

Plus women are more likely to feel lonely and want someone to talk to. Men again prefer not to talk much, especially passed the basics.

Oh and if you read enough posts men seem to like technical specifications, and women like to look at the emotional part of chicken keeping.

Since most posts are about that emotional aspect, like look at my chickens, or my chicken isn't feeling well type of stuff more women answer posts.

When I ask my husband about an unwell chicken he says let me know when you want it culled. I want to discuss possible fixing options before going to culling.

He's practical, I'm emotional. So this site leans towards the emotional in my experiences, and is more suited to women these days. Back when I looked at BYC about 10 plus years it was a bit more technical.

I guess I and the men I know here must be a bit odd. I've seen men crying here because a predator got their favorite rooster.
I think this men are unemotional is a bit of a stereotype. Maybe American men are more like this.
