?Interesting thread!
I think that is probably true - my dh does lots of reading on forums but has never joined one (except for our cloth nappy one) but that is different as he works on it!).

I think my dh informed me that the usual ratio is 1:10 members to lurkersAlso, when was the last time you did a search for chicken info on the interwebz and BYC did NOT show up in the results somewhere?I bet there's a whole pile 'o lurkers at BYC, and probably a great deal are male.
I clicked on this in the hope it was a topic with half-naked hot men holding beautifull poultry... am disappointed :'(
A forum about cloth / washable nappies (diapers to you guys)
AhhhI think my dh informed me that the usual ratio is 1:10 members to lurkers
and that usually worked when I'd be looking at figures.

A lot of surfing in upstate NY, is there?![]()
There may be some truth in this, although where I am cockfighting isn't a feature.Probably because the primary interest here is egg-laying, which means hens. How much you wanna bet that if the primary interest here was cock fighting, the demographic would mostly be male?
Do you not use the word 'track' other than for racing track? In Australia we use it a lot as well, it is usually to describe a small dirt road and a very used saying is 'off the beaten track'.The various regional/national terms & expressions sometimes take a little getting used to. For instance,I chat regularly with a British transplant to Spain, to whom a road is a "track". I wonder if horse racing or stock car racing are popular in Spain or England.![]()
