Metzer Farms???

I also ordered from Metzer Farms. The small order fee is pretty rough, but I had an alright experience. I ordered two Pekins, they arrived just fine. The girl was a bit dehydrated but she perked right up. The boy was very healthy, at first, but took a turn for the worst. According to the vet, his body couldn't absorb necessary nutrients and vitamins (nothing anyone could do to prevent/help it). The vet told me it was most likely genetic, but that's with all animals at all farms/kennels/wherever. He passed away, but his memory remains as strong as ever! He was the cutest little duckling, the couple months I had with him were well worth the money and time spent, including the agony that came afterwards.

I wish you luck on your new little flock (however small or large it may be). Please post pictures when you get your ducklings!

We ordered from Metzer Farms in 2016. 5 Golden 300 and 5 White Layers. The duckling arrived all alive and in great shape. We live in Georgia... cost about 100 dollars total. Would totally order from them again. One was killed by a fox last year and another is currently recuperating from a hawk attack, but everyone else is healthy - and they are the cutest waddlers ever :D

Majority of mine have all come from Metzer and have 2 more orders placed within the next 2 months. Love being able to order sexed and their birds have all looked great. Did have one issue where they sent me a wrong breed (shipping list did not match the order list) but they handled very professionally by letting me keep the one sent, sending me the one I wanted and shipping her a buddy to have 2 within the box for free. They are very easy to call and talk to when any questions come up.

Our babies from Metzer arrived Weds am and are all doing great so far. The Chocolate girl on the right is our runt...we were worried about her the 1st night but she's keeping up well with the other two now. Left to right are Winston (blue runner), Stewart (fawn and white runner) and Olive (chocolate runner). Can only say good things about Metzer Farms this order too :)

Oh, I love the names! And could that possibly be some type of teddy bear I see next to them? When I first got mine I picked up a small teddy a piece for them from the Dollar Tree.. they actually laid on them and snuggled with them. TOO cute! Thanks for sharing. :)

Got ducklings from Metzer last year, like everyone else... good experience and would do it again.

I ordered the extra ducks to avoid the fee... spent the same amount of $ and sold off the extra ducks. You could always split an order with someone... And I would't personally get the drake, but rather 2 females.

They also happen to be located not to far from SF airport so shipment should get to their destination pretty fast.

Meh.. to the hatcheries.. love that Metzer is family run... not to say a family doesn't own a hatchery... but they keep their birds in house not farmed out eggs from someone else.

Anyways have FUN!! :wee :jumpy Duckling were so cute and FUNNY!

Thank you. It's their stuffed pet otter :) They do like to lay on it sometimes (mostly I think it just makes me happy, lol). I like to leave it in with the babies until they get bigger and start getting it all messy.
