My Meyer girls always do this same thing!

(That's my blue splash Marans, and one each of my speckled Sussex and partridge Plymouth Rocks, all from Meyer. They just turned 8 months old last Monday.)

I hate when my hens do that! I usually have to take 100 photos to get 5 good ones. I have 15 chickens and they are all extremely camera shy! It's pretty cute.

I love their fluffy butts too, but if I want a picture of their cute little faces, I never get any! lol

Your GLW, Meal Maker, and either an EE or brown leghorn, were the ones you were missing or doa right? Those BR's and Dominiques are hard to tell apart!

I am working on who is who still especially since 2 of them didn't make it. I have 2 RIR's, 2 BR's, 1 white leghorn, 1 buff orpington, 1 black australop, 1 silver laced wyandotte, 1 golden laced polish, 1 dominque, 1 blue cochin and 1 columbian wyandotte. I should also have 2 easter eggers, 1 light brown leghorn, 1 golden laced wyandotte and 1 mealmaker. I am not sure which of the 2 brown striped ones are these since the 2 that died were also brown striped and I am missing the one.

Has anyone ordered 10 chicks from Meyer Hatchery in May before? I have read quite a few stories of people's chicks dying from cold. I ordered from Meyer Hatchery because it is only 4 hours away from me, and I ordered a May shipment because it's usually pretty nice weather in May. I'm just worried about them... I know it has nothing to do with Meyer, it's the PO. That's exactly why I ordered from the closest Hatchery to me as possible, so they have less time being in warehouses and trucks. I'm not sure if Meyer will ship any extra's. Will my chicks be okay?

P.S. I am a huge worry wort. I worry about anything and everything to do with animals

I keep telling myself they will be fine and not to worry, but I still can't stop worrying about my babies...
