Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

I ordered 10 chicks from Meyer Hatchery, and they will be shipped the first week of May. I just ordered them a week ago, and I've already had 3 dreams about chicks. I even spent 3 hours making a countdown to put on my wall. It's going to be a long 11 and a half weeks.... Loving the pictures of everyone's birds from Meyer!

I didn't even realize at first how many young people there are on here. I thought I was one of the only ones. I'm almost 15 years old, but I am very experienced with chickens, and I'm pretty mature for my age. Most people over the internet think I'm older than I am, because of my choice of wording and how much I know about chickens for my age.

I had a dream (nightmare) they were out of EE's!!! I ordered 15 total chicks and 4 of them are EE's so I'd be really sad if they didn't have any!!
I have 26 more days to wait!! Seems like a lifetime especially since they will be my first chicks ever.

All the chickens in the album in my signature line "The girls, and Oreo" are all EE from Meyers. I was completely happy w/ my order all healthy chicks, only one had no beard but she has great color and patterning to make up for that, all layed blue/green eggs. One boy snuck by and he is a great flock leader.

That would be AWFUL! I ordered two EE's, so I would be really upset if they didn't have them

They are beautiful. I can't wait until mine get bigger. I called Meyer's today and they have given me credit for the shipping deaths and one missing. They said I can order them now or wait until a later hatch date. We're going to wait and order more in the summer. I learned my lesson with getting them this early in the year. They are sooo nice at Meyer's, awesome customer service!

I did not realize how much work it is to raise little chicks. A few had pasty butts, so I have been soaking their little behinds in warm water and wiping away the mess. They were so happy once I did that and they look so much better now. Plus, I gave them some hard boiled egg to help them along and they all perked up after that and ran around the brooder chasing the one with a piece of egg in it's mouth. I also gave them some ground up rolled oats and ground up chick starter to help them poop better. I did not realize how deadly pasty butt was until I read up about it yesterday. Glad I figured it out before it was too late.

I guess you can tell that I am a new chicken owner from my postings. Good luck to everyone with their waiting. You were wise to wait, just remember that, it will be warmer when your chicks arrive.
