Nancy - Nope, still just the two, the EE and WL. My Dominique has sat in the nest box, squats, has all the signs, but no egg yet. She did teach the WL, Snow to use the nest box though. Maybe soon? When that 1st brown egg comes, I am not going to know who laid it unless I am watching. I have so many brown egg layers!
I wish I had a camera in the coop, that'd be so cool!
I hope all of your silkies do okay, I did not realize how fragile they are. They are all so cute, but this little one is just adorable with that little top hat!

Oops, I read that as your WR (white rock?), WL and EE all were laying. You don't have a white rock do you?
Check out the Dropcam. They're not that expensive.
Do you have any recent pics of the girls? I'd love to see them.

Nancy - You read it right, I should stay away from abbreviations, my mistake, should have said WL. It was still just my White Leghorn. I do have a White Rock, but she is just 8 weeks tomorrow, so no eggs from her yet.
They are crazy chickens, my Dominique didn't go into the nest box today, but my BR, Google went and sat in one for a long time. Then my Silver Laced Wyandotte, Nemo walked in and out of the coop clucking like a mad woman, er hen. We felt for sure we would find an egg. She went on for over a hour acting so strange, I have checked every few hours but no egg anywhere. Snow did that yesterday and there was an egg. These chickens are so weird. I guess people who have had chickens for awhile would think I'm crazy watching them so much, but I am super curious and it is fun still.
I took a few pictures of some of my hens, the big girls today:
Here is the White Leghorn, Snow enjoying a much deserved dust bath. She's the smallest of the older flock and the first to lay an egg, 3 so far. None today.
Here is Maddie the EE who has layed one light green egg so far.
Dominique, the Dominque, the nest sitter who keeps trying to trick me, but she did teach Snow to use the nest box, so I'll let her get away with it.
Here is the noisy one, the SLW, Nemo who was clucking and going in and out of the coop all morning, but no eggs, crazy chicken.
Here is Pepper the smallest BR, I guess she's a BR, she was my Meal Maker. She has small combs and wattles unlike the other two BR's, plus she is so much smaller then them. I think she'll be among the last to lay an egg.
\
The BO, Big Mama. Not much comb and wattle or color either, she is huge though. Think she'll be among the last as well.
The RIR's combs and wattles are huge and red still, but no eggs yet from them. I figured they'd be the first ones to lay an egg? I would have taken more pictures, but the rain came again.
Oh, one more, here is Big Mama trying to pick on my GLP, Elvis, one of the babies, they're getting big!
I love playing the guessing game!! Is the blue your only LF Cochin? I have the blue coming in a couple weeks and a partridge coming in the aug order, they look so cute and fluffy I had to get a blue one!
Yes, she's our only cochin. Our polish will be the first breed we'll have more than one of. I took some pics the other day of everyone and they are now missing from my camera. Strange. I'll have to go take some more.
Our flock consists of:
19 weeks old
BR, BO, BA, EE - still no eggs or behavior like they are near

I can't wait to see pics! I kinda took some pointers from all your shipping disasters with the polish and not getting replacements. I added a SL & GL to my 9/30 order to make sure I get those 2 incase they didnt make it in the 8/05 order and all 3 chick orders have atleast 1 polish in it. You just getting the assortment mon or did you keep the silkies on it too?
Love your little EE bantam. Love all your chicks, but really like EEs (love the fuzzy faces). I've got two EE bantams...a little blue one and a chipmunky one. I lost 3 chicks out of this shipment and thought the chipmunky one was going to be one of them. She was doing terrible when we first got them home. She's doing better now though...just hope she continues to.
That's too funny that Frou-Frou gave you the what for about the chicks!

I'm glad our experience helped someone! I wish I had done that. If we lose some from this assortment order I'm not going to get replacements. I'm done with babies for this year!
I am just getting the assortment. I cancelled the silkies.
