Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

That's a great assortment! Did you get the email from Meyer yet?

Not sure if anyone is interested but I just went on the website and they have so many great breeds available for this week... ahhhh, if only I could

They do have some great breeds up this week! So I'm really hopeful my Meyer's Meal Maker turns out to be something cool that I didn't order.

And NO. I have NOT gotten the email from Meyer's yet. It's near driving me crazy that I haven't! I mean it's almost noon here in Illinois and no word. When do they usually sent out a notice that they shipped??

Ah, well. At least I got the post office out of the way. Went in and told them to be expecting the chicks to come through. They told me no problem and that they'd call me no later than 8AM, or earlier, once they got them. So I could go get them then. The anticipation is driving me crazy!

I didn't get my email until 4:00pm, but my chicks shipped early in the morning. I guess maybe they automatically send all of the emails when they are done shipping orders for the day. That's the only explanation I can think of.

Thank you MsChickenMomma! That will put me at ease somewhat.

I can't believe they are on their way here! It won't be real until I get that email.

Good to know, I've been anxiously awaiting that email because I have to coordinate days off of work to be able to pick them up and take them right home. Ugh it's killing me, only 4 more hours I guess.

Yay, excited for you guys!!! Hope all is well with everyone's new chicks!!

I guess we'll be seeing those baby chick pictures soon.

Pip- Great pics, they're getting so big!

I just realized today that my chicks ship in 2 weeks! I'm not ready yet, guess I better get all my stuff together soon. My late blooming BR, Pepper is now squatting too. So I have one laying and 2 squatting now. So far my RIR, Ash has laid 4 eggs out of 5 days.

My two that were injured are not back to squatting yet, Oreo, the BR with a dog bite still has red combs and wattles, but no squatting and Big Mama, the BO is starting to get red now too. It's so weird, they were both squatting before the traumatic dog attack. I guess they need awhile to get back to normal, they are acting normal otherwise, which I am so happy about.

I also didn't get my email until late and it wasn't until I checked the tracking at about 10am that I saw they were checked into Seattle and out for delivery. I checked it religiously all morning because I was also trying to coordinate my work schedule. Once you get a tracking number (from teh website - check under your order status) you can call your local post office and they should be able to track it for you.

Best of luck to both of you!

Here are my girls at 22 weeks and my one at 11 weeks

Ash- RIR

Big Mama - BO - Pretty much back to her old self, but not as human friendly as she used to be.

Pepper- BR

Olivia - EE

Olivia -EE

Oreo- Still a little sickly looking but doing much better. You can see the blue kote spray on her back. It's more purple then blue though. I am hoping her combs and wattles turn red again soon to show she is getting healthier.

Daisy the 11 week old WR- She is just a tad smaller then the others and still peeps

Does anyone know if I can give ducklings the grogel plus b? I plan on getting some with my first order and wanted to know if they can have some too or do I need to get them something diffrent.

There's some serious squatting going on!! Both RIR's, Izzy the EE and surprisingly Jr. the Cuckoo Marans. She walked right up to me, started chatting away and then squatted down before I even reached down to pet her! They are all so funny. I watched a video of it on YouTube to make sure I knew what to look for and I got a pic of one of my RIR's shaking her whole body after a good back scratch!!
Does this mean eggs could come any day or would I still have a few weeks to wait?

Finally got some pics. 18 weeks old:

Big Red -RIR

this is after she squatted and I gave a nice back scratch - she did the big shake move!!

The next 3 are of Junior the Cuckoo Marans:

Can't wait to play the guessing game with you Meal Maker. Could be something really different!

The pics of your girls are great!!
2 weeks YAY!!!!!! Won't be long now.
It probably takes so much energy to produce an egg and your girls may need a little more time to be 100% healthy to do it. Or maybe they won't even squat first; perhaps you will just find an egg one day!! But acting normal is wonderful. So glad they are out of the woods!

Pip: Love the pics of the little ones!!!
