thanksI hope she's doing better today. You can only do what you can do. I hold my breath every time I go in to the coop or down to the brooder hoping I don't have to deal with a catastrophe, although I know my time will come.
Good luck with her!

she is only blind in one eye, her left eye is the blind one.The picture problem is BYC's, not yours. Almost everyone is having problems.
Do you think she is blind in both eyes or just the one? Hopefully if it's just the one she'll adjust.
I hope she improves. Maybe her blindness is only temporary too since the eye is so irritated. Our BO was temporarily blind her her eye too and I thought she'd never be able to see out of it again. It's been over a year now and she seems perfectly normal now, but she seemed pretty normal 3 months after her injury too. I hope for the best for her.thanks
thanks
Update, so we kept her in smaller coop all night she did fine, she roosted just fine. She got some special snuggle time this am after her saline and ice treatment. She was cute buried her beak under my arm pit and napped. Sadly, she isn't really holding her eye open much this am, it almost seemed caked shut. I did separate the lids and after we got done she was opening it some. So there is no doubt she is blind, of course I got a little upset this am about it. First real injury minus the one we lost the day after shipment. I am hoping once she is better healed the others will accept her and not pick on her. Anyone have any experience with blind birds?
Is anyone else experience upload problems with pictures? I have been trying since yesterday and on luck.wasn't sure if it was BYC or my iPad.
I'm happy to hear they finally arrived! I'm sorry about the BCM that didn't make it.Tuesday night , late, there came a flurry of PO tracking notices - and the chicks arrived Wed am at the Post Office. 3 BC Marans, 2 BS Marans and the MMM chick. It has been so durn busy, that I haven't had time to take photo's. One BCM was very weak on arrival, and didn't make it.
I'll try to get pics tomorrow in better light . . .
