Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

Don't worry about the Dorking. I have one ordered for August. You are correct that chicks that are ordered are factored in to the availability equation. When it says none available, it simply means that all that WERE available have already been placed on order.
 
Oh, I see what you're saying. It says the same thing for Black Copper Marans now. I was just concerned because the Dorkings are new for them and I was worried they weren't getting good enough hatch rates or something. :lol: I really want that Dorking!

13 days away from my chicks--I don't know if that's lucky or not! :celebrate
 
They are here now. Picked them up at 7:30 am!!

Sad news is that I only got 6 chicks and 3 are missing.

I guess I need to call. They had a 1 on there list for each chick listed and had a 0 in the box for the Golden Lakenvelder. I think I am missing the Meyer Meal Maker that box was left empty and it looks like they did not pack the Golden Laced Wyandotte. That is the one I wanted the most and one of the ones in the last shipment that was already DOA. Oh well, I am glad these look good so far, noisy little things....I'll post some pics later....

It is weird, beginning to think they can't count whoever packs these chicks, the total said 8 since there was a 0 by the Golden Lakenvelder, there was clearly just 6 in the box. How hard is it to count to 8? Sorry, just venting...
 
Ours arrived this morning as well and they all look great :) They're chirping away in the basement now -noisy little buggers :p

How frustrating. I know you're happy the 6 are doing well but sheesh. Yes, I'd vent too. I thought they were supposed to let you know in advance if you weren't going to get part of the order due to hatching difficulties and you would get to choose something else.

So what did you end up with?? can't wait to see pics!!!

Maybe you should get a few more for next week???
