Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

My first order, we lost four :( Two were dead in box, and the other two died shortly after. Last week was my order to replace the four who died, and I ended up buying two more chicks to add onto the replacement order. I ended up with two die in that delivery as well, sadly. Must be something with my postal service. I had no deaths besides the delivery ones! I did end up putting both batches together after the younger ones settled for a few days. They have been doing really well!!!! It is funny how much bigger the two week old babies are compared to the one week olds!!! :) They grow soooo quickly!!

Beautiful pics everyone!! I have had chickens for a few years, but I also just received chicks from Meyers. One batch is 2 weeks old, and the other is 1 week old, and I have been very happy with them!! We did experience some losses during shipment, and it was so hard!! Maybe if I can figure out how to post more pics on here, I will post some. P.S. the golden campines are beautiful, I wish I had known about them before I placed my order!! What are they like?
I am surprised at all the losses from shipping during the spring and summer. I got mine in March and we all lost some because I assumed because of the cold and I thought it would be better in the warm weather but shipping must be hard on the little chicks. The winter is to cold but the spring/summer maybe they get thirsty from the heat. We can't win

Just gotta cross our fingers and hope for the best!
Hope you can post pics of your Meyer chicks!

I know what you mean, I don't wanna give up on her but I feel horrible for her. I've found a new method to force feed her and she seems to be improving. I'm gonna give her till the morning and see how she is doing.
I'm still struggling with my EE, my husband and I are talking about just putting her out of her misery, she just doesn't seem to be getting better and I know she can't be happy. It is hard loosing them!
I'm sure that's a hard decision to make but you'll know what the right thing to do is.

That's what I thought also with the shipping. I was worried aug might not of been the best idea because its been pretty hot but other than the EE everyone seemed ok. They def needed the grogel but I figured I would have lost at least 2. ESP after they spent the first day driving in circles.

Heather does seem to be improving, she has been pretty steady and is even starting to stand. Her balance isn't the best tho but considering how she looked this morning it's a big improvement! Plus she hasn't had one of her fits in awhile.

I do have a question tho. It feels like her crop is on her left side, is this normal with wry neck? I think her balance would be better but I think her crop is making her lopsided

Any improvement is a sign of hope. I'm pulling for little Heather. Hoping tomorrow brings even more improvement.

Tonight I'm going to set my alarm and check on them more frequently. Hoping this helps the problems we had last night

Boy, 36 posts today. I'm sorry I can't read or respond to them right now. We had a LONG day. We got up at 6 and just got home at 8:45 tonight.
My daughter made it through showmanship and came out with a smile on her face. This is amazing for her because she usually falls apart if she has to talk to someone. She won't even order her food or ask for something at a restaurant!
Our D'Uccle got 1st place and then scored Honorable Mention for the class (feather legged bantams). Our Partridge Rock got 1st place. Our BR got 2nd. And our BA got 4th, though he said that was the toughest group he judged all day because they all could've taken 1st. We got 4th because our BA is a little too heavy.
Overall a good day!

Congrats on all the wins!! I think your D'Uccle is the cutest! They are on my list for next year

When I went to get heather for a feeding before I went to bed she was like a totally different chick! She was trying to eat by herself and had a lot more fight in her. And no fits since about 5 or 6. I have my alarm set for 430 to feed her and my husband gets home from work at around 930 10 and I will get up then to feed her again
