Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

@NotableNancy That's a beautiful egg! I didn't know Stella started laying. Did she just start?
Thanks. Yes, she started a few weeks ago, maybe a month. I'm terrible and don't keep track. I think they are all laying now; except Izzy I guess because of her molting or less light. Not sure. But her comb is tiny and light pink. Nothing like it was. I sure hope she starts again since she's the only green egg layer.
I'm getting about 6-8 eggs a day. Once in a while only 5. But still plenty for us and I don't sell them I just give away the extras.

My girls are doing good. Been getting 2-3 eggs a day from 3-4 laying hens. 2 for sure are not laying yet since their hip bones are only about a finger width apart. My son caught Pearl(BA) laying an egg late in the afternoon the other day. Got home from work and he ran to check, opened the nest box top and out popped her head! LOL! He got a surprise! We watched her lay the egg, weird how she was all hunched with her feathers standing up. After she layed it she just stood there and let me pet her. I know for sure my BO, BA and most likely the CW are laying. One I'm not sure about is the SS.

That's awesome!!
Oh, and I still haven't got my Meyers catalog, ugh! Hopefully any day now!
I just got mine on Sat. I would say if you don't get it in a week or 2 I would call them.
Ohh... I'd love my buff brahma to lay an egg that gorgeous! I probably wouldn't be able to eat it.
LOL. I like when I give eggs to people I can actually tell them the name of the chicken who laid some of them. They think that's a bit
nutty

My meal maker is now 10 weeks old. Is she a meyer's RIR or NHR? By now I'm learning what the heritage breeds should look like, but I'm not sure what the hatchery stock of either would look like. Or more like how they would differ. What do you think? She really is darkening which makes me lean toward RIR.

She looks a lot like my Golden Buff, Ginger when she was a little younger.

Here is a photo of Stella's (Buff Brahma aka Nancy Brahma) egg. The spots on it are purplish!
Just thought I'd share

My BO, Big Mama lays an egg with freckles like that, hers are a little more oblong in shape. I love the speckled eggs, adds a little fun to my all brown egg basket.

The Nancy Brahma is just full of surprises, isn't she? We have days of just 1 or 2 eggs, mostly the average is 3 a day and once a week, 4 a day. We are big egg eaters here, so we're still not giving them away. I had to buy eggs for the deviled eggs I always make for Thanksgiving, I felt like a traitor to the girls! I'll be glad when I can give them away again.

We need to get Olivia and Izzy some egg laying therapy, I want green eggs too!

That's a good amount of eggs for how many are laying. What a neat experience for your son, one he'll always remember!

I have my catalog too. I love the cover picture, I'm not sure what type of hen she is, but she looks just like our White Rock, Daisy.

We had family visiting a few weeks ago and they were shocked that I could name off who laid what egg. They were my in-laws, so they probably thought that I was a bit nutty too.

That's okay, I like to make people wonder about me.

Yep, I can name who laid every egg in our basket too. Now that all 6 of our older girls are laying I keep meaning to take a pic of the eggs. Maybe I'll get to it today.

edit: here they are. I had to put them on a paper towel otherwise they rolled all over the place.
Starting with the green egg and going clockwise - EE (Amber), BA (Sky), Plymouth Rock (Mona) , BR (Marble), Cochin (Sterling), and in the middle D'Uccle (Flower)
