That's exciting. I look forward to hearing how that goes with your cochin. I'd also love to see what an EE/Silkie chick looks like. Maybe Nancy can hatch one out for you when her new chicks start laying?I don't think those cheeks could get any fluffier! They are too cute!
I'm trying to arrange a pickup of some cream legbar eggs for our broody cochin this weekend. I'm surprised DH didn't freak out but he said it would be neat to watch her hatch and raise them.
I'm also trying to arrange a pickup of a silkie/EE chick. My daughter has always talked about this cross and was very excited with the possibility of getting one. I think it's about the same age as our other chicks so it should work out.
We really need to find a new place to live soon. We will be up to 20 chickens soon and we are only allowed 6!!! Luckily it says animals under 4 months of age don't count toward your limit. So we have a few months left. I never would've imagined chickens would be a reason to find a new house! lol
