Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

The one under Honey's pic looks like a Gold Laced Wyandotte. I just got my 1st one - they are supposed to be super sweet & good layers. The one that looks like a Barnvelder looks like all the pics I've ever seen of them, but I have no experience with them. From the back, the one that you suspect is a roo...I'd have to agree because of the tail and saddle feathers.

Yes, it's the one under Honey that looks like a GLW. The others have lacing but look like they might be EEs. Either way, they are cuties! Are you getting eggs yet?

Hola Meyer fellow Meyer folks! So new to chicken raising, but bf has raised before. We ordered 25 rainbow pack from Meyer and received April 15th, based on the 25 we ordered that were part of the pack, we believe we have two RR roo's. We also ordered 2 buff orph roosters based on reviews. We definitely have some mystery chicks, 4-5 black goldish girls. I have been told they might be Cornish and maybe a Barnevelder. I believe we have the following breeds, Barred Rock, Welsummer, Easter Eggers, Buff orph, Rhode Island Red, Delware and ?. Any idea?

- Little One she is an EE
I'm kind of late to the game but I agree with what everyone else said. This is such a cute EE in the pic, love that black beard! So you should be finding eggs soon with that hatch date! Welcome to the Meyer's thread by the way and thanks for sharing your pics!

They all are looking so great. I have to say, I think the CCLs are my favorite. Although, the polish are cute too (I never thought so before!) and the BCM. Oh, I can't wait...5 more weeks till my Meyers babies arrive!
5 more weeks? Getting close!!!

They are all so healthy & happy! No issues at all! The CCL are so beautiful...but so are the polish, blue orp, BLRW, BCM, heck all of them! Their little personalities are so great. The Meyer's bunch are starting to get their big girl wing feathers! Gidget flew to the edge of the brooder today to tell me how upset she was with me about washing her feet.

I think Coco is trying to practice crowing...he/she is making some god awful racket in there! Brownie is getting sweeter and sweeter by the minute, but I'm still not convinced he/she is a girl yet!

I've been working on painting the inside of the coop - 3/4 of the way done. Will do touch-ups during the week. The egg lid crashed down on the arm today - apparently I didn't have the latch fully engaged. I've got a nice bruise & lump started. Oh well...at least it wasn't the small human!
Sorry to hear about your arm. Ouch!! You were very lucky that it wasn't your son, but still. Guess it is good to work out those little problems now before you start getting daily use out of it. Sounds like you've had a lot of progress on the coop already. I look forward to you showing off the finished project!

This is a bad pic, but you can see the red area starting to turn into a bruise. I was painting the underside of the egg lid when it happened. The same thing happened when I did the 2nd coat, but I didn't have my arm fully in it this time (I learned!) - so the vibration of the roller might have wiggled the locking arm out of place.

No matter what, it's going to hurt tomorrow!

Hello, Meyer friends! :D My young Meyer ladies are 9 weeks old today! I finally got them all moved out into the big-girl coop (separated by fence from the big girls, of course) and they've already figured out how to perch! Such smart babies! :love Anyway, here they are:

Elda Cuddles the Silver Gray Dorking:

Kit-kit the SGD:

Louise the small, graceful BCM:

Mabel the worrier! I mean, Welsummer. ;)

The other two, 10 weeks old, who are not from Meyer Hatchery. Poppy the Legbar--her pictures do her beauty no justice!

Violet the Bielefelder:

And to finish up, here's cuddle time with Elda:

Violet decided to join us. She likes cuddling up under my arm, but Elly was in the way. :love

Oh, and since they are Meyer girls as well, here are a few shots of the older girls. :D

Frou-Frou the Splash Marans! My baby! :love She is NOT impressed with the actual babies, however.

700

Huka the Silver Lakenvelder and her German eyebrows.

Ihi the Golden Campine. She lost her tail to the neighbor's dog a few weeks ago. :/

700

Pogonip the Speckled Sussex, such a pretty lady!

700

And poor Rangi the Ancona, who gets picked on. :/ She's such a sweetie, too.

I hope that wasn't way too many pictures for one post.

Ok wow thanks everyone for their replies, still new enough to boards don't know how to quote multiple people yet. Honey, does have green legs so that is why I said I thought she was an EE. I think we have 4-5EE (there is an all white one with green legs not pictured) 4 barred rock, 2 Welsummer's, 4 Delaware, 4 Cornish, maybe one Bantam Cornish, 1 Barnevelder's, 2 Buff Orph roo's, we think 4 RR (maybe two Roos) and one partridge rock? That would be 28 total which is our number, but yes so much fun. No eggs they are 14 weeks, I am fermenting their layer feed, sprouting beans and sprouts/seeds, farmers cheese, table and garden scraps. I noticed some of the RR combs and waddles have changed to a darker color which I read could indicate getting closer to laying.

Also cute story, Little One the EE with the black beard almost didn't make it, she was very ill after shipment, listless and seemed almost drunk, couldn't even prop herself up to sit hardly. Well I hand fed her two crickets and some water and she laid down for 30 and then was good to go so to say.she is now one of the bigger girls and is super friendly follows me around likes to be picked up and held. I do spend time everyday with them trying to handle them all if possible. Just so they remain easy to handle. Here are pics of Little One on her second day of life.

And of course today

Here is a shot of Isis, she is the all white EE. Little One and Gretchen are the most friendly out if the EE, Isis and Honey are the most shy and don't like to be caught and held.

- Isis on the left all white and Gretchen one of the other EE. This pic of Isis doesn't do her justice, will get one of her tomorrow free ranging.

- Gretchen

Sorry for the pic overload, but so glad I found other Meyer peeps so we can try to Id our girls.

I have an all white EE, too. Even my husband thinks she is beautiful! Don't tell the others, but, she is starting to be my favorite. ;)

At 14 weeks, you might not be far from eggs! I now have 4 layers! Jessica, another GB, started laying the day after Patty at 16.5 weeks. Melissa the Dominique laid her first cream colored egg, today. She will be 18 weeks tomorrow. Belle, the EE, has been laying for 6 weeks now. Of course, she is older than the rest. Boo, the white one, hasn't laid yet and she is at least 23 weeks old.

I love the different colored eggs!
