Meyer Hatchery? Is It Trustworthy?

I thought Cackle was in MO! Is there a location in OH?
They are. :) I was referring to my top favorite hatcheries, not limited to those based in OH. :D Believe me, if Cackle ever expanded this way, we'd be broke.
Can you visit it in person or mail order only.....their website isn't very informative
Yes to both. :) Sadly, Eagle Nest needs to work on their website. :hmm Adding pictures would, quite possibly, be the very best move.

Love, love, LOVE Eagle Nest. I'll be picking up 2 Mallards and 4 Calls next month (and maybe a couple chicks, if there's anything interesting left over from that hatch ;)). Their bantams are top notch. Fantastic quality. Same goes for the Welsummers and turkeys. Call ducks, well....they're a bit on the large side, but still gorgeous. :love Eagle Nest Black East Indies are simply gorgeous.

Yes, I like Eagle Nest a lot too. Pics would surely be nice. Most of their ducks, geese, bantams and some of their chickens are “exhibition quality”. We had dark brown Leghorns and BJG (listed as exhibition quality) and the DBL were beautiful! The BJG seem to conform to standard quite well too. The others we have are not listed as EQ, and I haven’t really checked the standard against them.

Very nice! :) Sounds as though you've been overall quite pleased with their quality. After acquiring newfound love for the Leghorn breed, I shall have to try these "to die for" DBLs. :love

Their Welsummers aren't listed as EQ, but surely more closely bred to the standard than any other. Gorgeous. :D
I'll have to give them a call as their website doesn't really say what breeds of bantams they have available.
My last catalog lists these breeds -

Clean Legged: Columbian Rock, Partridge Wyandotte, White Crested Black Polish, Blue Breasted Red Old English Game bantam, Buckeye, Black Tailed White Japanese, Wheaten Ameraucana, Golden Laced Polish, Rhode Island Red, Black Rosecomb, Silver Spangled Hamburg, Silver Penciled Wyandotte, and Black Breasted Red Phoenix.

Feather Legged: Black Cochin, Bearded White Silkie, Mille Fleur d'Uccle, Buff Brahma, Salmon Faverolles, and Porcelain d'Uccle.

(I modified that selection a little....they didn't properly specify breed or color for some ;))

I ordered 8 day-old female chicks of 8 different breeds. I got 8 healthy chicks and they grew up and all female and they made no mistakes on the breeds. I called them the Great Eight, but lost one at 3 months because she ate a nail. Now I call them the magnificent 7. I'd trust them again if I wanted more.
