Meyer Hatchery's Meal Maker Program

I'm going to have to build a second for sure now

Very good impression. They had the ones I ordered ready to go and the people were very helpful with me picking out the extra ones. They have a list of the ones available and the lady was showing me pictures and going over costs and then went and got the ones I added. There were lots of people coming in to get thier orders and a lot of them were repeat customers. I see from your name your from WV. I drove up from Clarksburg. Not a bad trip at all.

That sounds great, thanks very much! I'm less than 2hrs away so this is definitely a plan for later in the year (I have a bunch coming in the mail next week).

Good luck. I got 25 dead last week in the mail from Murray Mcmurray. I don't think I will ever get any mailed again. It was a terrible experience. Those poor girls.

Oh, I'm so sorry, what a terrible package to open! I have been getting worried, my usps guy doesn't seem to know how it works and I can't get anyone at the office to answer the phone.

That's what I thought, too, but my postman said they usually send them out for delivery. He doesn't usually get to my house until late afternoon. The office is useless so I think I'm going to beg him to call me if they give him the box and then intercept him on his route.

That doesn't make much sense. At the very least you would think they wouldn't want to hear the chirping and call you to get rid of them. The shipper usually puts hold and call instructions on the box. I hope they call you. Keep me posted!

I order lots of eggs, ALWAYS have a note to the hatchery or breeder, to "HOLD FOR PICKUP" and a cell# on the box. Hasn't failed yet...i get a call from the PO

Thank you, it did sound really straightforward. I gave them three phone numbers and they said that it would work just as you both said.
Fingers crossed, I will let you know how it goes.
Thanks!

I will be getting chicks from Meyers hatch date April 25th, and I also requested the MMM, which should be a female since I ordered all layers. I am excited to see what I end up getting, I thought it was a pretty neat thing for them to do, I will be interested to see who all orders MMM's this year and what breeds they end up being, so keep up with the updates! :)

I agree!! let's keep in touch with each other so we can see what meal makers we each got! What fun! Your hatch*ship date is April 25th and mine is April 11th. If all goes well, (I pray it does) I will show you a pic of my meal maker. I already named her, charity. :) Maybe you can help me find out what breed she is.?She won't be a barred Rock because that's what I have coming. hummm, so excited!! :)
