I just ordered from Meyer's :
1 female frizzle. ( I know they don't always frizzle, but a girl can hope! Plus the feather color, and the egg color will be a surprise!)
1 f-Speckled Sussex. (I love this kind of bird.)
1 f-Buff Orpington. (I don't currently have one.)
1 f-Welsummer (I love the spots.)
1 f-MM (I love surprises!)
11 fry pans just for packing peanuts. (sometimes I get a sweetheart too.)

At home I have 3 eggs EE that are hatching. due the same time.

Anyone else ordering for summer?

2 chicks hatched...I will call them Betti and Gwen.

Below is the chick I think that was the frizzle, (who was not frizzled, IK, IK.) But she is really pretty black with a glow of ginger color. "Toasti"

Below this chick doesn't look great, but I gave everyone yolk water and growjell and sips of water with save a chick.

Below are the 2 that I hatched out earlier, from blue eggs.

I am brooding them in a cabinet I found on the side of the road.

They are cute! Congratulations!
Im going to be hatching out eggs. Well i have one right now and i am looking for more.

Adorable! I had a couple more turn out to be cockrells I couldn't keep. I'm currently resisting looking for more chicks. Fall has arrived and any new chicks wouldn't have the time to reach maturity and fatten up before the cold hits.

I know what you mean, I always say to myself no chicks after June, and some times after May. I usually do anyway. Things work out.

In this order, I did add the Fry pans, but it makes shipping chicks so much cheaper. And we let them grow and feed the meat to my dog, unless the rooster is extra nice. People come to me now and I am known for nice roosters.

I was going to order some for fall all my favorite egg colored layers. Well summer, marans, and whiting true blues. But....... I foolishly went to farm store in May and they had some cinnamon queens that were not selling so offered me them at 1/2 price so I got 4 chicks in May! Stupid chicken math!!!! I should just send hubby to buy supplies. !! Or better yet if I order online it's waiting at front of store! :thumbsup:yesss:. So now have to wait till next year to get more but I like the idea of the fryers to meet the minimum. :clap
