Today I went through some frightening stuff. My chick brooder is currently in my basement in an old dog cage. When I came down to them distress calling loudly, I saw that the water had tilted and spilled completely and soaked the paper towel bedding. I moved my chicks to a temporary box to clean out the brooder and I heard a mouse skittering on the floor along the wall along with squeaking. I was very afraid because the box my chicks were in was on the floor, so I had to go quickly. The chicks are alright now, but I'm super scared to go down there now. What should I do about the mouse?

Snap traps, bait it with a dough made a of bread a peanut butter, make sure you get the dough in the lip of the trap. Wedge it in there.
Put it along the wall
My mom has sticky traps out, which got a couple so far. Thanks for the suggestion.

UPDATE: We have caught 4 mice so far, hopefully that's all of them!
