Michigan Chickenstock 2013 Buy/Sell/Trade

please put me down for a few of the ferns!!! :) Thank you- will have mom hold back some speckled eggs for you to play with!!!!

would love to get a few blue copper marans from you- only hatched 1 blue and tons of blacks from eggs I brought in!! (would prefer girls but will take roos if girlsare only offered as pairs or trios with roos)- prefer feathered legs

And maybe interested in a few welsummer pullets- are they breeder or hatchery stock?

Eeyore75 - The wellsummers are hatchery stock but the Marans are from 2 different breeders. I have 3 blacks with feathered legs, 3 blacks with clean legs, and 6 blues with clean legs or very, very light feathering. I believe most of the blue copper marans I have are pullets. Out of the marans that I have, I only plan on keeping half at most. I do have someone locally that is interested in one or two of them but she hasn't confirmed which ones yet.

hmmmmm........ I work in Dewitt which isn't horribly far from Swartz Creek...... maybe I could come and get some before Chickenstock. How old are they now again?

Eight are just over a month old. 4 are 2 months old. And I'm seeing larger combs that are making me wonder if I'm going to have more boys that I thought . . . A friend came and got 2 yesterday, but one was for sure a cockerel. Of the remaining 4 blues, I have 1 definite boy and one maybe boy. The other 2 seem to be girls (so far). The black coppers from the same hatch are split pretty evenly so far, too, I think. The bcm cockeral I wasn't going to keep is developing beautiful coppering in his hackles already! Now I'm wavering, lol. It's just a shame he's only barely feathered on his legs (I'm talking practically clean).

yah- I would have a hard time hanging onto a non feather legged roo....... hens I could look the other way on a few- but...... not roos. But that is just me!!

Sooooo........ which ones do you think you will be parting with :) Are you waiting til chickenstock to decide or will to part with some sooner?

Hi there ! I'm driving from southern Ontario to the Lansing Chickenstock in June! I've already reserved some eggs, but I'll be on the look-out for more! I don't know what to expect of this chickenstock, I've never been to an American one before. Based on past years, what can I expect? Tips/Tricks experiences?

I can only buy hatching eggs, as I cannot pass the border with hens or chicks! I'm interested in the following breeds, (Especially Breeds that are hard to find in Canada!):

Marans (Blue Copper, White, Golden Cuckoo, BBS Splash)
Orpingtons (BBS, Lemon Cuckoo, Red, Gold Laced, Lavender etc)
Wyandottes (BLRW, GLW, other)
Bearded Silkies (Colourful, Unique lines, No Whites)
Standard Polish (Crele, Tolbunt, Laced, Mixed)*
Frizzle/Frizzle Mixes
Barnevelders
Icelandic/Viking Hens*
Speckled Sussex
German Line New Hampshires
Swedish Flower Hens*

I would like to wait a couple more weeks to see if I have 1 roo and 3 pullets or 2 of each. I know I want to keep one pullet and one cockerel. I have another interested in a pullet. Were you wanting a pullet or did it not matter? You wanted only blue, no blacks, right?

Thanks for being so helpful so far folks! I have some friends up here who would really like some hatching eggs for me to bring back for them if I can find them, if you know of anyone who has these breeds and is willing to sell 1 Dozen at Chickenstock, I would love to reserve them!

Nankin Eggs (single and rose comb)
Blue Laced Barnevelders
Blue Wheaten Ameraucana
Blue Isbars
Blue Wheaten Marans
White Marans

Anyone interested in 4 show quality silkie hens? Two white, one buff and one partridge- partridge maybe it looks mostly black? $15 each or all 4 for $48. I'll bring to CS only if someone is interested.
