Michigan Chickenstock 2014 - planning ahead!

wolfy, it's in Lansing. We ask that each party of folks bring a dish to pass - there will be lots of folks with things to sell; everything from baked goods to arts/craft items, to poultry & rabbits...if you search "Michigan Chickenstock" in the social section, you'll find lots of threads from past ones.

Here's the 2013 potluck thread to give you an idea of what folks bring to eat: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/734796/michigan-chickenstock-2013-pot-luck-food-thread

And here's the 2013 buy/sell/trade thread to get you started:

Please plan on a small donation to help fray costs for the pavilion rental. It's not required, but helps to insure that we can continue to hold this event in the future.

Still not sure If I'll be able to attend. So, I hope you guys have a great time!

ok thanks im going to have to wait till its a lil closer so i know if ill be able to go. things change at the drop of a hat here lol

Is the event open to WELL trained, chicken & rabbit-friendly dogs? We'll be on our way back from camping that weekend with the border collie in tow.
There have definitely been dogs there in the past, but I personally discourage it. That's an awful lot to ask of a dog, to ignore prey drive with all the poultry, rabbits, etc. around. It's up to you, though!
