Michigan Chickenstock/Fowl Fest Oct 10 & 11

There is a vendor there with products. I would advice to go to the Fowlfest website and see who the company is. If there is anything you want from him, call and order it so he will bring it to FowlFest. Lots of things sell like hotcakes

Rachel hatched out some bantams about 5 weeks ago, I believe. One is looking like a roo so far. If you are interested in a bantam.

Sorry Wylie, I missed this post. Opa gave me 4 of some bantam eggs Rachel has I think. Those are in there with what I had here. I put in 17 eggs total. Of course, we almost just lost power. I guess we need to have the generator ready.

Good morning, folks! First State Vet has a very large table of stuff at Fowl Fest - I'd check out their website, and anything you think you might want, call them asap to make sure they are bringing it to the show.

Does anyone know if there's an area where we can meet to swap/sell a few birds? Doesn't sound like it would be much, from what I've read from folks on this thread, but it would be great if we had a spot where we wouldn't need to worry about testing, etc. I'm thinking maybe even just say we'll park in the far corner of the parking lot, and that's where we'd do swaps/sales? Surely the show officials would be okay with that, since the parking lot is pretty good sized and we'd be parking toward the end (any time I've been there, the lot has been at most, 1/2 full). Thoughts?

Isnt Fowl Fest only open to the public on Saturday? As daughter and I were planning on staying over night but after reading that on their site, we are just going up for the day.

Have they changed this in the last week?

Fowl Fest is open to the public both days. Saturday is an all day show. Sunday the show is done by 11am (the champions are crowned on Sunday)

Okay as this is the exact wording from www.fowlfest.org

The 2009 Fowl Fest will be October 10th – 11th

(This is a two-day show for exhibitors - open to the public on Saturday)

So now Im more confused. LOL

Maybe they are just saying Saturday, since Sunday is done by 11am and there will be a mad rush of exhibitors packing up their poultry to head for home?
