Michigan Hatchers! What'cha got cookin?

Update: Our broody hatched 2 of the 3 developing eggs. The last one didn't make it :(. But the other two are Iowa's that appear to be charcoal color type.

Lockdown last night on 8 Iowa eggs and 1 Marans egg. Should hear some peeping tomorrow or Saturday :)

Our serial broody girl Powder is at it AGAIN! that's four times this summer so far!

Ok, here are the pics

Broody hatched two Iowas:

and the incubator hatched eight of eight Iowa eggs, here are seven of those babies. They started hatching yesterday and last of the eight hatched this am. The Maran's egg does not have any pips and it's day 21 :( Will keep it in the bator for a couple more days, but doesn't seem promising.

Anyone hatching bantams? I know it's not the season but we got a coop for Christmas and are going to keep it indoors until the spring. Looking for about 4 baby chicks in Michigan.

I'm getting the incubation itch again but I seriously don't have room for more chicks. *sigh*. And yesterday I saw one of the hens that my BIL hatched out from eggs I gave him last year....light gold hen with incomplete blue lacing and partial columbian (missing the neck halo, but had lots of pretty blue in the tail). I SO have the hen and rooster to recreate that too. But that would mean setting up a breeding pen. And that means shuffling birds around. And coop cleaning.

In the incubator now, Silver EE's. My 5yr old is excited about hatching Crazy Cora eggs. Cora is his half Silver Amer hen. I put my 2 EE's in with her and her Silver Am rooster, Hawkeye.

Coming in the mail, pastel shade/ Blue Wheaten/Splash Wheaten/Wheaten Ameraucana's eggs. I have wanted these ever since I saw them.

The real deal is coming as chicks at a later date from Sand Castle. I want to breed birds to standard as well.

Detroit-area, aspiring urban-farmer looks to gather a flock of three. Any one able to send me the direction of a dominique, a laced wyandotte, and a barred rocks plymouth chick? I can only have females.
