Folks freak when its hot out I just put all collested eggs in a 9 quart pale and after a few days its full. I walk down to the creek and toss them in. Ive counted as many as 90 as I throw them at rocks with my sister's kids.
Its funny cause everyone at work gets burned out on eggs, family members get burn on eggs, we do, even my dog gets bord with eating eggs.
But their to small to sell so we throw them at targets!

Lol. I guess I better make a trip to you in a couple weeks. When I had my barred rocks I had eggs coming out of my ears. Everyone had all they wanted and I Still had a fridge full. I scrambled and fed to my dogs and cats. Their fur was so shiny. If I come get eggs do I get to meet your minis?

It would be hard not to since they stand at the fences and stare at everyone who comes in the driveway.
If you even think of walkin twords them, they sense it and run to ya waiting to goober you to death. lol

Mines a luv bug too. When I have her in yard she'll lay down and nap. I can go out and lay down snuggled up to her and she just sniffs me and. Goes back to sleep. The people I got her from said she was mean and bit and kicked. Ha! Only thing she is is nosey. Lol. If I'm working anywhere around pen has to have her little nose in there seeing what I'm doing and stealing tools. Love my girl.

Out of the 14 that went in lockdown, 12 chicks were hatched. When I get time I'll take some pics. Busy week here! Now to clean the bator and fill it up!
I've got Tolbunt Polish, Jubilee Orps and Partridge Orps going in again.

I just love how the crested breeds look as little chicks with their mohawks! I have a mottled houdan that looked absolutely ridiculous as a chick with her poofy feather!

I'm sure you've thought of this, but would your local food shelters take the excess eggs? I can't imagine having that many extras yet. Of course we haven't gotten our chickens yet, so come 6-8 months, I may be eating my words LOL.

I actually did talk to someone once at work who suggested it that volunteers. They said they could use them even tho others give them there's but wanted me to wash them. After givin them away and providing cartons... I wasnt interested in doing all that.
