@mindylee
 your going to have lots of babies if all of of them hatch

Yep!
I cant wait! Gonna keep some as new breeders and rest will be sold off.
1st batch hatched couple weeks ago produced about half roosters. And a few pullets im not interested in and a few I will hang onto.
This batch hopefully a few more keepers and less roos. ♡:)

I keep mine about 20 weeks and then butcher. I did butcher a 30 week old rooster with my last batch and he was noticeably tougher with practically the same amount of meat on him as the younger guys. I harvested about 30 DP boys last year.

Thanks naglady, but I guess I wont be getting any chickens. Your the only words I got in two weeks. Oh well, probably for the best.

Thanks roo harvesters...I wish I could identify and harvest much sooner than 4 months.

My last egg hatched...from one of my beloved Light Brahma mutts under a Dark Brahma mutt roo...has the lighter coloration I think, it's still pretty wet.

My roos only get debreasted out as they are bantam cochins. At 2.5 months old I put them all togather in smaller pen and pack the feed to them till butcher time.I realized cause of their small size, not worth doing a full butched so I take breasts and somsometimes legs. If decent size, I will do a whole bird. But only had 1 like that.
