Michigan Right to Farm Law, what does it mean?

I apologize for the late notice. I wanted to let any interested party know that my "criminal" chicken case trial commences tomorrow, April 11, 2013. A jury trial (case number 12GC1470) will be heard in the 21st District Court, Garden City, Michigan, before the Honorable Richard L. Hammer, Jr.

Interested observers should note that the scheduled start time is 8:30 am. - Thank you.

Best wishes, RaZ. I'll be with you in spirit.

looks to me like the gaamps for 2013 are in place... everything on there was the unappoved info... I am wondering if they put it up anyway and people will just assume it's approved. Maybe it was approved behind closed doors.

Such BS

Anyone hear from RaZ yet?

Have not heard from RaZ.

As far as the GAAMPS go, except for the Site Selection GAAMPS, all of the other 2013 GAAMPS were approved and are now on the MDARD website. We didn't have any issues with those.

In contrast, you'll note that the Site Selection GAAMPS are "2012" - that is, the 2013 version was not approved and so is not on the website.

Joedy Brown and the folks of the Albion Chickens page on facebook are heading up changing the ordinances to allow chickens in Albion.

I am sooo glad I found this thread I had so many questions and have had them all answered by reading........ But have lots of work ahead of me to actually consider myself a Faverolle Farm/Poultry Farm

I'm just back from the courthouse.

The sentence is:
30 days in jail
6 months of reporting to probation
$905 in fines
Pay for the court appointed attorney
Comply with all city ordinances.

But the judge was "nice" and suspended the jail time. However, if I fail on any of the above details I will be thrown in jail. And since there are more ordinance violations next week that pretty much assures that I'm breaking the last condition.
