Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Well, the plan for today was to work outside, but the clutter in my house is killing me. Trying to clean out all of the closets, drawers and everywhere else I just stick junk when I don't really have a place for it. I think we'll try to have a yard sale and purge a bunch of this stuff. If I can make a few bucks off of it that's all the better. Does anyone else get distracted when they clean by the things they find? As I go through these boxes I keep finding old notebooks and exams that I kept from college. I finally found the courage to throw it all out. I figure I've got so many textbooks, articles and websites at my disposal that it's redundant to keep all of my notes.

My mealworms arrived too. I was expecting them to arrive on wednesday and was starting to worry, but they're here now and seem ok. They must have gotten hung up somewhere in the mail and kept pretty warm because I've got some pupae in there too. So now the great mealworm farm experiment begins! yay! I'm using the rubbermaid drawer system and I'll get some pictures of the whole set up if anyone is interested.

I hear you, cuppycake. I get distracted all the time doing chores. Working on the woodpile today, I found worms and slugs so I picked them up for chicken treats. Of course that led to playing with the hens, then checking for eggs, topping off feed and water. The dogs get jealous and need some loving, so an hour later the wood still isn't stacked.

My friend is the Naturalist for Wayne County and she calls it Nature Attention Disorder, when a new discovery of the natural world refocuses your attention.

Please share your mealworm adventure.

Thanks Opa. I have some good people helping me out and I need to get the details of setting something up to do it properly. I certainly don't want to do anything "illegal".

Thanks to all of you that wished me well. RaZ, in my opinion you were shafted. So often , it seems our fellow man is rediculus. I got a letter from City April 19, to get rid of my rooster. Not that I have not tried to do that before. Anyone close want a beautiful welsummer rooster?

It was mentioned on FB about having 905 people bring a dollar to the court to help pay the fine. I think that would be hilarious.
