Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

hmmm may have to make a road trip to lowes myself!
they had a whole flatbed cart of them. It took a LOT of self-control to not just wheel the entire cart to the checkout and buy them all. I love love love love love hydrangeas, and they REALLY didn't look bad at all! The biggest "issue" they had was that the flower buds got frosted, and they aren't going to bloom for a couple of months. That was about it for most of them.

I also got wave petunia 9-cell packs for $3 and made myself some hanging baskets, some alyssum, and some kind of pink wegelia (or however you spell that word!). My front porch is set up to hold 8 hanging baskets, so I'm happy to find a cheaper way to get some than paying at least $10 each for them! I'll probably splurge at our local nursery on a few baskets of callibrochoa (or however you spell THAT one!) to support a local business, and get my favorite hanging basket.

I have one of those I got off CL last summer that I am going to convert for either the chickens or the ducks! I saw the pics on this site for the conversions and loved the idea!

We were able to convert our into a 1 1/2 story.. I have a 2 foot duck coop at the bottom & the chicken coop on top. We have a very small yard. Hopefully sometime nest year we will replace it with a bigger coop & turn the playhouse into a brooder/hospital/grow-out pen lol..

Waiting around for a phone call this morning......wondering if the PO isn't *as* antsy to get my chicks out of there since there's only 4 this time, and not 74. (These are the replacements for my missing and died-in-the-fist-48hr chicks.)

Went into town yesterday on a whim and ended up at Lowes and scored hydrangeas for $5 each because the tips had gotten frost damage from the really cold night on Sunday. YAY! I can't remember the last time I paid "regular" price for a plant there. Have to take the middle boy in for a dentist appointment today too, so the PO better hurry up and call so I can get everyone settled before we have to go.

OOO I love hydrangeas I just might go to lowes & pick some up..

Mine wont sell his hunk of junk either I should post a pic of it, its falling apart

. I refuse to drive it too, you need to open the hood & hit something with a screwdriver to get it started

Yes! We are getting everything set up to go, HOPEFULLY on June 1st! My DD will be 6 next month, shot her first buck (8pt!) with her crossbow last fall! She is working on pulling back a bit bigger bow..... I don't know much about hoyt bows for kids but we offer some great options, that start out at 15# and max out at 70#- with one bow! Whish to me is quite amazing in itself! I see you're from Mid Michigan, where about??

Yeah we got it mounted for her, which is hanging in her room- against my DH protest to hang it in the store.... our good friend does an amazing job (he does taxidermy) and is very reasonably priced and you don't wait a year to get it back- this took around 2-3 months. We are located in Alma, which if you guys ever come north, are more than welcome to bring your bows out, do a little shooting, and maybe check out some bows.... we are still pretty small (No Cabelas/Jays) but we have a good selection for being open a year!

Its ok I prefer going to a smaller store I hate Cabellas too many people customer service suffers. I am in the market for 2 crossbows, a bowfishing bow, & 2 or 3 compound bows lol.....Not to mention a deer stand
